Predatory Mining

Ursula von der Leyen
The President of the European Commission
Rue de la Loi 170

Belgique

Dear Mrs. von der Leyen,

Europeans, Americans, and Asians are sponsoring a predatory mining, which for a while in Brazil, two dams of mining reject collapsing took 289 fatalities spoiling the environment from the headwaters to the ocean:

There are 20 to 40 dams in the same situation ready to take lives of hundreds or thousands of Brazilians, spoiling my country because this mismanagement of world affairs. It can happen very soon or take a while, but ground rock is not safe as this blatant predatory mining operation is going on negligently, always getting worse till fixed.

You need to refresh your personnel because the Director of Research and Innovation, Mr. Jean-Eric Paquet, has background neither in research nor in technology. He got a degree in public and international policy, master in German. I got a letter from Maria Cristina Russo, Director of International Cooperation, but she also has no understanding on science and research. She studied political science in Rome and master in Europeans Studies. It seems that you have lay people handling science and technology affairs!

Ms. Maria Cristina Russo sent me a letter showing that she has no idea what she is dealing with, or talking about.

Unhappily I am used to this sort of things as Embrapa’s director, who fired me had neither doctorate, nor conscience that I was a fair employee, that my government sponsored my PhD in the US during four years, that I had already bumped to a sort of scientific breakthrough and I was in the cover of Ciencia e Cultura, a Brazilian scientific journal.

Sorry, but your personnel in the chain of power handling research and technology seems to be pure politicians with no handle in the subject they are in charge of. Probably, EU also has a conspiracy in the patenting system regarding reinvention. I could infer that Hydrology has been neglected in the European patenting system as well. Europeans also suffered with the economic meltdown of 2008 dragged by Americans messing with Economics. American obesity is a hint on how bad science is being respected in their culture to pursue balance with nature. After all, packing energy as fat in our bodies when the food supply is so constant is a simple lack of basic understanding and knowledge on physiology.

I would not have hurry to develop my project, but the mining situation in Brazil is deteriorating fast getting always worse with unpredictable outcome depending on the size of coming tragedies from mining residue dam collapsing. Solid rock after grinding loses its mechanical support and should flow downhill one day favored by a bounty water recharge. As a PhD in Soil Science, I must say that ground rock does not become soil overnightThe weathering of rocks takes thousands or millions of years. By correcting the mining operation, we can spare lives, protect the environment and profit on many technological edge expanded by an updated knowledge from Hydrology on artificial porosity systems.

It does not require a deep reasoning to understand that solid rock after grinding lose its mechanical support. So, it makes all mining operation predatory demanding urgent actions to avoid oncoming catastrophes that will take huge damage in fatalities, spoiling the environment, and compromising metal supply around the world.

You need to assign personnel competent to their duties, because we have the same issues in Brazil with a subtle competition between knowledge and power, as less and less intelligent people get more and more power, compromising deeply critical decision-making.

Sorry to bother you, but there are no rules or policies to create a new science, even less to correct predatory mining as a recent issue from modern mining. Lay people have no understanding on the difference between soil and ground rock.

I must confess that I happen to be a bit confused on the framework of society. In my PhD commencement on May 10, 1996 the American President Bill Clinton said that down the line we would be developing new technologies never imagined before. Well, I am creating a new science Hydrotechnology, but afterwards he was caught doing oral sex with Monica Lewinsky in his office nearly being impeached. The Penn State University President that granted my PhD, Graham Spanier more than a decade was covering up for a pedophile Jerry Sundusky. Now USPTO is running a sort of conspiracy on reinvention. I hope that Europeans are not supporting violation of science and predatory mining around the world.

Perhaps my science is worth 20 to 100 billion of dollars, or more, for ignoring Hydrology in the fluidic devices more than a century, as a bonus it is taking American honesty in the grip. But, my main concern as a scientist is to spare lives of Brazilians suffering from predatory mining becoming worse day by day.

As a mother of seven, you do have a deep maternal instinct on the importance of carving a better future for the children, and children of children. I had three kids, found one more after three decades. She was kidnapped. Some people lose their children while I find more in the internet.

Please, keep in mind that science is just the functioning of nature. I hope there is no need of bigger tragedies on mining for decision-making.

Those videos in the beginning will become a commonplace with due consequences if you do not act wisely! In time, all mining reject dams will have that same fate above!

You will learn that a rational mining can protect many businesses dependent on metals from solid rock.

King regards,
